A group effort on a neighborhood park

We were delighted to see “Signs of life for Olmsted gem” (Editorial, Aug. 5). We would like to acknowledge the crucial support of people who were not specifically mentioned in that editorial but have been key to our success. To begin with, we want to thank our emerging Charlesgate community, a diverse group of former strangers who are working together to breathe life back to our neighborhood park. Thanks also to our elected representatives, state Senator Will Brownsberger, state Representatives Jay Livingstone and Byron Rushing, and City Councilor Josh Zakim. Their support has been critical, and we are deeply grateful. We also want to thank our allies at the Department of Conservation and Recreation, especially Commissioner Leo Roy and director of historic resources Patrice Kish, whose support has been essential and whose partnership will ensure our future success as we move forward.
