How about a test for voting?
RE Jeff Jacoby’s piece, “Lower the voting age? Let’s raise it instead” (Ideas, March 17), I’d add that all voters should have to pass the test that naturalized citizens have to take. So many of our citizens can’t name the three branches of government, how many Supreme Court justices there are, nor find their home state on a map. Simply being born in the United States should not give a person the right to vote; a little knowledge would help.
