PLAYERS OF THE YEAR
Division 2: Watertown
Earning her second straight Player of the Year nod, Kelley, a forward, helped lead the Red Raiders to their third straight state title, scoring twice in the final. She was a three-time Middlesex League All-Star and two-time MVP.
Division 1: Walpole
Murphy’s 10 goals and 19 assists helped lead the Porkers to their third straight undefeated regular season and another Bay State League title. The league’s MVP and a high-honors student, she has committed to Georgetown.
COACHES OF THE YEAR
Division 2: Watertown
Donahue guided the Red Raiders to their third straight state title and 12th overall. A 22-time Middlesex League champion, and 19-time North sectional winner, she earned her 500th career win this season in 26 years at the helm.
Division 1: Duxbury
In her fifth season, Manley guided the Green Dragons to their third straight Patriot League title. This season, she got them to the next level with a 22-2 record and the program’s first South sectional title since 1976.
One of the top scoring forwards in the state, Cronin tallied 36 goals and another 19 assists this season, leading the Panthers to the Hockomock title and earning the league MVP nod. A four-time all-star, she will play field hockey at Holy Cross.
Davis finished her senior year as the third-leading scorer in the state with 27 goals and eight assists. For her career, she had 65 goals. The three-time Atlantic Coast League All-Star led Sandwich to a 16-2-3 mark. She’s also a lacrosse all-star.
The defensive anchor for the Division 1 state champions, Farris helped Andover record 19 shutouts and allow just four goals this year. A two-time MVC All-Conference performer, she tallied four goals and six assists this season as well.
Bishop Stang, senior
Ferrari was the backbone of a strong defensive unit for the Spartans, who finished at 17-0-2 for their second straight unbeaten regular season. A team captain and Eastern Athletic Conference All-Star, she was a three-year varsity starter.
The backbone of the Green Dragons’ first sectional title since 1976, Fitzpatrick allowed only six goals this season. She was a team captain and three-year starter, and she also plays lacrosse. She will continue her field hockey career at Lehigh.
Kelley gave up just four goals in the Porkers’ 21-1 season. A Bay State Conference All-Star, she’s 84-5-2 in her four years. She was also selected a Best of 60 All-Star and was on the gold medal team at the National Festival.
McNeil was the midfield presence that helped the Bulldogs to their third straight Division 2 South title. The three-time Hockomock All-Star also plays hockey and lacrosse, and competes in triathlons. She will attend Holy Cross.
Murphy helped lead the Green Dragons to the Patriot League title, and their first Division 1 South sectional title since 1976. The single-season goal scoring record holder at Duxbury, she had 10 goals and 19 assists this fall.
As a defender Renzi helped lead the Colonials to 11 shutouts en route to the North sectional final. But she also had a nose for the net, potting seven goals including three game winners. She also plays basketball at A-B.
The South Shore League’s leading scoring, Richer’s 29 goals and 25 assists helped the Rough Riders to a 16-3-2 record and a spot in the South semifinals. For her career, she has 60 goals and 53 assists with a year to go.
Rolfe was a top scorer for the Dolphins this season, helping D-Y to a 15-3-2 record and an ACL All-Star nod. She runs track in the spring, and is a National Honor Society member who plans to be a pre-med major in college.
The MVC Player of the Year, Squeri, a midfielder, helped lead the Lions to a 17-3 season, and a sectional semifinal. She leaves Chelmsford a three-time MVC All-Conference performer, and four-year varsity player.
A true playmaker, Stebbins finished the season with 19 assists from her center midfield spot. Her efforts led the Skippers to the Division 2 South sectional final. The team captain and National Honor Society student will attend Siena.
Sutherland helped lead the Red Raiders to a 22-0-1 record and a third straight state title. She is a solid two-way player, and a two-time Middlesex League All-Star. A high honors student, she also plays lacrosse at Watertown.
Making her second All-Scholastic appearance, Torres was a key cog in Andover’s run to a state title. Netting 18 goals and adding 10 assists on the season, she helped lead the Golden Warriors to an unbeaten season.
