Patriots release Gaffney, Stallworth, Bulman, Larsen

The Patriots released receiver Jabar Gaffney, according to the team’s media relations department.

The move followed the release of receiver Donte’ Stallworth, according to Pro Football Talk. The Patriots released

Gerard Warren, Josh Barrett, and Ross Ventrone on Sunday.

In three preseason games, Stallworth had five receptions for 61 yards. He had played for New England in 2007 and returned in the off-season after spending 2011 with the Redskins.

The Globe’s Shalise Manza Young has confirmed that defensive tackle Tim Bulman was cut. Also let go was fullback Spencer Larsen, according to Baltimore Sun NFL reporter Aaron Wilson.

The team had until 4 p.m. today to trim its roster to 75 players.
