    Game recap:

End of game, Celtics 94-86: That’s all from the Garden, where the Celtics knocked off Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors. Big efforts from Jeff Green and Paul Pierce on the offensive end and Avery Bradley on the defensive end. Good win for the team.

Fourth quarter, 2:54, Celtics 89-76: The C’s just took a 13-point lead, their biggest since the first quarter.

Fourth quarter, 6:03, Celtics 83-73: Still just four points for Curry in the second half. Impressive work by the Celtics.

Fourth quarter, 10:29, Celtics 75-66: Jeff Green doesn’t seem to be doing too badly, even with the bruised left elbow he suffered in the third quarter. The lead is back up to nine points for the C’s.

End of the third quarter, Celtics 69-62: The C’s head into the final quarter up by seven points. They’re holding the Warriors to 35 percent from the field, so a pretty darn good defensive effort from them to this point.

Third quarter, :49, Celtics 69-60: That’s a 9-0 run for the Celtics. And it just got really, really loud in the Garden. (Blame the noise meter.)

Third quarter, 2:22, Celtics 62-60: This has become quite the game. The Celtics once led by 13, but the Warriors have been up by only two points. Still, it’s a tight one at this point. Curry has 18 points, meaning the Celtics have kept him to just two so far in the third quarter.

Third quarter, 8:01, Warriors 54-53: Courtney Lee passed to no one, leading to the fourth turnover of the third quarter already. That’s the major reason that the Celtics are down to Golden State to start the second half. They’ve scored only on a three by Paul Pierce that gave him 21 points.

Third quarter, 9:08, Warriors 52-50 : That didn’t take long. The Celtics have yet to score in the quarter, while the Warriors have taken the lead. It’s 6-0 so far after halftime.

Halftime, Celtics 50-46: Stephen Curry has 16 points. And yet, the Celtics have managed to keep their lead -- barely. What was once a 13-point advantage is now just four points. The Celtics have held the Warriors to just 39 percent from the field, which has helped them keep even that slim margin. Pierce leads all scorers at the half with 18 points.

Second quarter, 3:48, Celtics 39-36: And it’s now a three-point lead. Barnes went in alone for the dunk to get the Warriors to 36. The Celtics followed that up with Chris Wilcox missing two-of-two free throws. Not a good stretch for the home team.

Second quarter, 6:08, Celtics 37-32: The Celtics have run into a stretch of trouble shooting the ball. They’ve been outscored 7-1 in the last three minutes after missing a bunch of shots. The Celtics are down to 42.9 percent shooting for the game. Of course, the Warriors are at 38.7.

Second quarter, 9:14, Celtics 36-25: Kevin Garnett just got his first points of the evening, and it’s an and-one. That puts the Celtics back up by 11. Garnett, though he didn’t have any points, had five rebounds already in the game.

End of the first quarter, Celtics 31-20: Paul Pierce converted a three-point play with 23.4 seconds to go in the first quarter, putting the Celtics up by 13 points. The Warriors got two back, but still probably not what was expected at the start of this one. Pierce now has 13 points, and got a nice round of applause when he was taken out for the final few seconds of the quarter.

First quarter, 2:09, Celtics 24-15: The Celtics have built up a nine-point lead on the Warriors, shooting 61.1 percent so far to 46.7 for the Warriors. Paul Pierce has eight of those points already. And 16 of the Celtics’ points have come in the paint so far.

First quarter, 4:54, Celtics 15-13: The Celtics are doing a pretty good job defensively, especially on Curry, who has just one point so far. The Warriors have three turnovers.

First quarter, 8:32, Celtics 7-6: Courtney Lee just gave the Celtics the lead after the ball was stolen from Stephen Curry. Drew a big reaction from the crowd. Curry, for the record, has yet to score.
