Donte Stallworth’s agent said the receiver is expected to be fine and to be able to continue his playing career.

Patriots free agent receiver Donte Stallworth was hospitalized for burns after being in a hot-air balloon accident Saturday in the Miami area.

According to NBC 6 in Miami, Miami-Dade police responded to the accident just after 10 a.m. The balloon’s passenger basket, with three people inside, crashed into power lines. One of the other passengers was Stallworth’s girlfriend.

Stallworth’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said the receiver is expected to be fine and to be able to continue his playing career, though he may be out of action for a bit.

Stallworth played in just one game for New England last season and caught one pass. It was his second stint with the team. He played 16 games in 2007, catching 46 passes for 697 yards.
