Key reserves: Shayra Brown, 5-9, Sr. (4.1), Kelly Hughes, 5-11, Fr.

Outlook: Picked 11th in the ACC preseason poll, the Eagles will lean heavily on Doherty and Zenevitch (both approaching the 1,000-point/500-rebound mark) as they look for their first winning season since 2010-11.

Boston University

Coach: Kelly Greenberg, 10th season.

Last season: 24-6, 13-2 in America East

Starters: Rashidat Agboola, 6-1, Sr. (11.7), Danielle Callahan, 5-7, Sr. (7.7), Whitney Turner, 6-0, Sr. (5.3), Mollie McKendrick, 6-0, Jr. (2.4), Katie Poppe, 5-9, So. (1.0).

Key reserves: Melissa Gallo, 5-10, Sr. (0.9), Clodagh Scannell, 5-10, So. (1.4).

Outlook: Ranked third in the Patriot League preseason poll, the Terriers already are expected to be one of the top teams in their new league despite their youth. Losing three starters means a lot of competition at the guard spot. Greenberg wants her team to be up-tempo and feisty.

Coach: Kathy Delaney-Smith, 32d season.

Last season: 21-9, 11-3 in Ivy League.

Starters: Christine Clark, 5-11, Sr. (15.6), Ali Curtis, 5-9, Jr. (4.2), Temi Fagbenle, 6-4, Jr. (12.3), Melissa Mullins, 6-1, Sr. (2.5), Erin McDonnell, 6-1, Jr. (2.6).

Key Reserves: Taylor Finley, 5-11, Fr., AnnMarie Healy, 6-1, So. (2.7).

Outlook: The Crimson, picked second in the Ivy preseason poll, will try to fill the void left by last year’s captain Victoria Lippert (13.7 ppg) by spreading the wealth. Injuries hurt them last year, but Fagbenle and sophomore guard Shilpa Tummala are at full strength.

Holy Cross

Coach: Bill Gibbons, 29th season.

Last season: 18-14, 8-6 in Patriot League.

Starters: Alex Smith, 5-8, Sr. (14.5), Christine Ganser, 6-1, Sr. (7.0), Emily Parker, 6-2, Jr. (5.7), Raquel Scott, 6-0, So. (4.3), Brisje Malone, 5-9, Sr. (9.4).

Key reserves: Molly Hourigan, 6-2, So. (3.7), Clare Sullivan, 6-3, Sr. (2.4).

Outlook: The Crusaders, picked fourth in the Patriot League preseason poll, bring back four of the top five scorers from a team that led the league in scoring (59.9) last season. They will be led by Smith and Ganser, but are excited about what a year of experience will do for a versatile sophomore class.

Coach: Daynia La-Force, eighth season.

Last season: 17-13, 10-8 in CAA.

Starters: Jewel Tunstull, 6-3, Sr. (12.5), A’lece Mark, 5-7, Jr. (9.4), Amencie Mercier, 5-7, Jr. (5.6), Kazzidy Stewart, 5-9, So. (1.8), Samantha DeFreese 6-0, So. (2.4).

Key reserves: Onia Webb 6-2, So. (1.8), DaChé Williams, 6-2, Fr., Francesca Sally, 6-2, Fr.

Outlook: The Huskies are looking to build off 2012-13, their best season since joining the CAA in 2005. They won four of their final six regular-season games, finished fifth in the league, and were picked third in this year’s preseason poll, with Tunstull earning preseason all-conference first-team honors.

Coach: Sharon Dawley, fourth season.

Last season: 3-26, 2-12 in Atlantic 10.

Starters: Nola Henry, 5-7, So. (2.5), Emily Mital, 5-8, Jr. (7.3), Jasmine Harris, 6-1 So. (5.6), Rashida Timbilla, 6-1, So. (8.6), Kim Pierre-Louis, 6-0, Jr. (4.4)

Key reserves: Kiara Bomben, 5-10, R-Sr. (5.5), Amber Dillon, 5-2, R-So.

Outlook: Coming off its sixth straight losing season, UMass was picked to finish 12 in the Atlantic 10. Without 6-3 center Jasmine Watson, the lineup will be smaller, but faster. They’ll try to get up and down the court, outhustling and outrunning teams.
