Kicker Rob Bironas joined Al Del Greco as the only players in Titans/Oilers history to score 1,000 career points. Bironas is the 51st player to reach 1,000.

The Broncos’ Peyton Manning went over 4,000 yards passing for the 13th time in his 16 seasons. Drew Brees is second with seven seasons of more than 4,000 yards.

Minnesota’s Adrian Peterson now has five games with at least 200 yards rushing. He trails only O.J. Simpson, who had six such games in his career.

Panthers wideout Steve Smith moved into 20th on the career list for yards receiving (12,084), passing Derrick Mason and Hines Ward.

Jamaal Charles is the first Chief with four 1,000-yard rushing seasons.

The Cardinals dropped to 0-8 when trying for their fifth straight win, a rut that dates to 1977.

The Dolphins ran more plays in the first half (50) than the Jets had total yards (39). Miami also held the ball for 24 minutes, 12 seconds in the first half, with New York having it for just 5:48.

Police in Kansas City said an unidentified man had died and three people were in custody after an altercation that happened in the parking lot of Arrowhead Stadium as the Chiefs played the Broncos. Police said the death is being treated as a homicide but no arrests had been made. The man who died was found inside someone else’s vehicle. A struggle ensued, and the man, who was in his 20s, was found unconscious on the pavement. The incident came one year to the day that former Chief Jovan Belcher killed his girlfriend at a home not far from the stadium and then fatally shot himself at the team’s practice facility.
