What They Were Thinking: Dashing to a win

Stan Grossfeld/Globe Staff

Every Sunday, Boston Globe photographer Stan Grossfeld asks the subject of one of his photos to explain what’s happening in the shot.

What’s up today: Kata Solomon, 7, winning the 200-meter dash at the Northeast Indoor Classic, held at the Reggie Lewis Center, Feb. 9, 2014.

Solomon: “I was thinking I was going to lose because they are older than me. When I heard the gun I got scared, but then I forgot about it. It felt good to win.”
