Loui Eriksson expected back Thursday night

Loui Eriksson is expected to be back in the lineup Thursday night for the Bruins after sitting out Tuesday’s game with a heel infection.

The forward revealed Thursday the infection was a result of a cut he sustained while in Sochi, Russia, for the Olympics. It began to plague him the last couple of days.

“I got a cut in Russia, when I actually went into the cold tub,” Eriksson said. “I got a cut on my heel. So it started to get infected here the last couple of days. I’m on antibiotics right now, so I think it will be healing pretty good.”

Eriksson said the heel was especially painful in Sunday’s game against the Rangers, though the pain dissipated after about 10 minutes of skating.
