Rajon Rondo’s job security as the Celtics point guard isn’t in question. But along with Comcast SportsNet, he has come up with an interesting way to moonlight.
Rondo will serve as a guest analyst during the Celtics’ matchup with the Bulls Monday. He’ll join play-by-play voice Mike Gorman for the first quarter of CSNNE’s broadcast, with Cedric Maxwell taking over for the final three quarters.
Rondo is available because one of the current stipulations of his ongoing recovery from knee surgery is that he does not play in back-to-back games.
The Celtics host the Bulls Sunday at TD Garden before flying to Chicago for the Monday rematch.

Celtics vice president of basketball operations Danny Ainge and former Celtic Chris Herren will serve as color analysts on CSNNE telecasts next month.
Ainge and Herren will join Gorman for away games against the Hawks (April 9) and Sixers (April 14). Herren will be the sole analyst when the Celtics travel to face the Cavaliers April 12.
The Celtics have used several color analysts during road games this season, including Maxwell, Jackie MacMullan, P.J. Carlesimo, Dave Cowens, and Bill Simmons. Tommy Heinsohn is the analyst for home games but provides only studio commentary when the Celtics are away.
