Chris Kelly likely to play for Bruins against Jets

WILMINGTON — Bruins forward Chris Kelly practiced Thursday for the second straight day, and he is likely to play Friday against Winnipeg. He has missed the last two games because of an upper-body injury.

David Krejci did not skate and will not play against the Jets. The Bruins do not know whether Krejci will be available for any part of their four-game road swing that starts Monday against Anaheim.

For the second straight session, David Pastrnak practiced with Brad Marchand and Patrice Bergeron. Assuming coach Claude Julien uses Bergeron in a matchup scenario, that line will go up against Andrew Ladd, Bryan Little, and ex-Bruin Blake Wheeler Friday.

Regardless of his performance Friday, Pastrnak is expected to join the Bruins on their trip. He can play in nine NHL games without burning the first year of his entry-level contract.

Friday’s pairings:

Brad Marchand-Patrice Bergeron-David Pastrnak

Milan Lucic-Carl Soderberg-Loui Eriksson

Reilly Smith-Chris Kelly-Matt Fraser/Seth Griffith

Simon Gagne-Gregory Campbell-Daniel Paille

Dennis Seidenberg-Torey Krug

Joe Morrow-Dougie Hamilton

Matt Bartkowski-Kevan Miller

Tuukka Rask

Niklas Svedberg
