Malcolm Butler, the rookie cornerback who was the unlikely hero of the Patriots’ Super Bowl victory, has received praise from teammates, fans, and media this week. Now, he might also be getting the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck Tom Brady earned as Super Bowl MVP.

During his final weekly interview of the season on WEEI’s “Dennis and Callahan” program, Brady said, “I would love to give him the truck. I would love to do that.”

Butler stunned the Seahawks when his interception on the goal line saved the game for the Patriots, but according to Brady, “It didn’t surprise any of us players, because that’s what his skill set is.”

The interception sealed the Patriots’ 28-24 win over the Seahawks.

“Someone had to make that play and it happened to be Malcolm,” Brady said.

Before Brady hung up to care for his daughter (who could be heard in the background of the interview), he was asked about the truck once again.

“We’re going to figure out how to make that happen,” he insisted.
