President Barack Obama called Patriots coach Bill Belichick on Thursday to congratulate him and the Patriots for winning their fourth Super Bowl championship.

According to a statement from the White House, President Obama complimented Tom Brady and Malcolm Butler for their contributions towards an exciting finish. He also said that he looks forwards to the team’s visit to the White House. Belichick will also appear on CBS’s “Late Show with David Letterman” next Wednesday.

Academy Award winner Tom Hanks will join Belichick as a guest on the show, which will air at 11:35 p.m. It is the coach’s second appearance on the late-night talk show, the first coming in 2004 after New England won Super Bowl XXXVIII.

Tight end Rob Gronkowski continued his talk show victory tour, appearing on “Live with Kelly and Michael” Friday morning. Gronkowski was a guest on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” Monday.
