WILMINGTON — The Bruins were originally scheduled for a day off Wednesday ahead of their five-game road trip.
But after last night’s 5-3 setback against the Stars, their third loss in their last four games, the Bruins convened at Ristuccia Arena for practice. They leave Thursday morning for Vancouver and practice upon their arrival in the afternoon.
“I think that was the purpose of today’s practice — to nip it in the bud before it gets back to the bad habits you’re talking about,” left wing Milan Lucic said. “We’ve shown we’re capable of being the type of team we want to be.”

The Bruins will be on the road for 12 days. It will be the longest North American trip since Claude Julien arrived in 2007. Four of the five teams they will play, including the Canucks, are in playoff contention.
