As the NCAA tournament’s tipoff nears, the Globe collected some predictions from Celtics players and coaches to assist you with some last-minute bracket-planning.

Unsurprisingly, players tended to focus on their own schools. But that’s sort of what fans do, too, so we can’t really blame them.

Evan Turner (Ohio State)

Final Four: Ohio State, Kentucky, Virginia, Utah for a sleeper.

Champion: Kentucky. They actually play defense, which is cool. I think they’ve been battle-tested. They’ve got playmakers, guys that can get it done. Not just 1, but five or six guys.

James Young (Kentucky)

Final Four: Arizona, Duke, Kentucky, Villanova.

Champion: Kentucky. Because they’re on a roll right now. They’re doing great as a team, and I don’t think anybody is gonna stop them.

Phil Pressey (Missouri)

Final Four: Kentucky, Wisconsin, Virginia, Iowa State.

Champion: Kentucky. They’ve had the most talented team the whole year.

Upset special: No. 13 Harvard over No. 4 North Carolina.

Kelly Olynyk (Gonzaga)

Champion: Gonzaga, because they score so easily.

Assistant coach Darren Erman (Emory)

Final Four: Kentucky, Louisville, Arizona, Duke.

Champion: Louisville over Kentucky. I’m from Louisville and would never pick Kentucky. I’m also picking Louisville over Kentucky in the women’s bracket.

Shavlik Randolph (Duke)

Champion: Duke. Best program, best players, best coach.

Upset special: No. 13 Valparaiso over No. 4 Maryland

Assistant coach Micah Shrewsberry (Hanover)

Final Four: Kentucky, Arizona, Virginia, Duke.

Champion: Kentucky. I just think they do it on both ends. They can really defend. They can defend big teams, small teams. They’re so hard to score on.

Upset special: No. 14 Georgia State over No. 3 Baylor

Assistant coach Jay Larranaga (Bowling Green)

Final Four: Wisconsin, Kentucky, Virginia, Gonzaga.

Champion: Kentucky. Because that’s what my analytics tell me.
