Two of the Bruins’ top players are featured showing off their skills against one another in a new video released Wednesday by action sports camera maker GoPro.
Patrice Bergeron, the NHL’s reigning Selke Trophy winner as the best defensive forward, and Tuukka Rask, the reigning Vezina Trophy winner as the league’s best goalie, can be seen from multiple angles as they square off. It is the latest in a series of videos from GoPro, which has an endorsement deal with the NHL, that show the game from new perspectives.
Though the two routinely go head-to-head in practice, GoPro’s video has both players wearing GoPro cameras for a first-person viewpoint, and others were strategically placed to provide secondary angles.
“It’s always hard against Tuuks. He’s that good, I think,” Bergeron says as they warm up. “You can look at where the opening is, but don’t look the whole time there because Tuuks will know that you’re shooting there.”
The video also shows Bergeron’s face-off skill with a series of above-the-drop shots.
Here are a few photos from the video shoot.
