NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said there is no timetable for a ruling on Tom Brady’s appeal of his four-game suspension.
“We’re focused on it,’’ said Goodell as reported by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. “We’re obviously being very thorough, want to make sure we’ve considered all aspects of his appeal, and we’ll make a decision as quickly as possible.”
Goodell was at a fund-raiser for Washington & Jefferson College, his alma mater, in Canonsburg, Pa., on Tuesday.
Brady was disciplined for being “generally aware” that the Patriots deflated footballs before the AFC Championship game.
Goodell heard Brady’s appeal June 23. It has been speculated that Brady’s suspension will be reduced, but last week a report came out that Brady would sue if his ban isn’t completely erased.
