Their defense was No. 2 in the league in points allowed in 2014 (17.6 per game). They have a pass rusher who compiled a ridiculous 22 sacks last season. They have a potential MVP candidate at running back. And they have a coach who has made the playoffs in 10 of his 16 seasons.
No one is talking much about Andy Reid and the Kansas City Chiefs, but it’s time to pay attention. Quarterback Alex Smith still is a big question mark, but he should benefit from the addition of deep threat Jeremy Maclin and the 1-2 running back combo of Jamaal Charles and Knile Davis. With Justin Houston and Tamba Hali (6 sacks) attacking quarterbacks and safety Eric Berry returning from a cancer scare, the Chiefs are a threat to win their first division title since 2010.
