Hall of Fame catcher Yogi Berra, known for his off-field quips as much as for his standout play behind the plate for the Yankees dynasty teams, has died, according to Major League Baseball and the museum that bears his name.
Berra, 90, died Tuesday, according to the Yogi Berra Museum.
“It is with heavy hearts that we share the news that Yogi Berra passed away Tuesday night at the age of 90,” the museum said on Twitter.
