The Patriots are known for providing little, if any, bulletin-board fodder for their opponents, so a tweet from the team’s official Twitter account raised a few eyebrows Thursday.
A photograph of former Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez’s infamous fumble in a Thanksgiving game vs. New England in 2012 — known as the “Buttfumble” — was posted along with the words “This seems relevant” and the #TBT hashtag.
But the tweet was later deleted.
Stevan Ridley, a former Patriot who is now with the Jets, was asked what he thought coach Bill Belichick was likely to do to the social media person responsible for the tweet.

“There’s no telling,” Ridley said. “I’d be surprised if he’s still there.”
