Patriots tackle Nate Solder said Monday night his 4-month-old son, Hudson, has kidney cancer, according to multiple reports. Hudson was diagnosed last month and has already started chemotherapy.

Solder made the announcement during his speech at a gala put on by the Joe Andruzzi Foundation, the former Patriot’s non-profit that supports cancer patients and research.

Later, Solder tweeted a photo of a happy Hudson. The writing on the infant’s shirt: “Tough like my dad.”

Solder himself beat testicular cancer in 2014. He is out for the rest of the 2015 season because of a torn biceps. Solder signed a two-year contract extension in September worth just over $20 million.
