In the fourth episode of the Globe's new Celtics podcast, "On the Parquet," beat writer Adam Himmelsbach and columnist Gary Washburn discussed the Celtics' loss to the Mavericks and a more forgiving stretch ahead against the Nets and 76ers.

With two games coming up against 2-10 Brooklyn, the conversation turned toward the first-round draft pick the Celtics will receive from the Nets at season's end. Adam and Gary floated some names to watch during the coming college basketball season.

On this episode, the recent firing of Rockets coach Kevin McHale was also discussed, as Gary shared a pretty strong opinion about the direction Houston's team appears to be headed.

"They've never won anything," he said. "What has [GM] Daryl Morey done besides be kind of a smart guy?"

Also, "On the Parquet" is now available in the iTunes store.
