On the Patriots’ third offensive play against the Buffalo Bills, Tom Brady was under center and called an audible.
Brady shouted “Rex Ryan” to make the call from under center. It was first and 10 from New England’s 46-yard line. LeGarrette Blount took the handoff for a 1-yard gain.
“We have a lot of things that are kind of in the playbook, so that’s one of them,” Brady said after the game. “We’ve used a lot of things in the past, we’ve got a lot of unusual terms. I think we’ve run the gamut, so we’ve got to get creative and think of different things. That one’s pretty unique.”

Said Ryan: “He likes me, I know that. I was calling him Brady, too.”
It was the second meeting between the Bills and the Patriots this season and the second time Brady has played the Bills on Monday Night Football.
The first time was a 25-24 Patriots’ win on Sept. 14, 2009.
