The Bruins have assigned David Pastrnak to Providence. The right wing is expected to play against Springfield on Saturday. The Bruins will then determine whether Pastrnak will report to the World Junior Championship to play for Czech Republic.

Pastrnak has not played since Oct. 31 because of a fractured left foot. He has been practicing with the Bruins for the last week.

Pastrnak will be joined by Alex Khokhlachev, who was also assigned to Providence. The left wing played 8 minutes, 1 second in Friday's 6-2 win over Pittsburgh.

With Pastrnak and Khokhlachev in Providence, the Bruins practiced with 12 forwards and eight defensemen on Saturday at TD Garden. Zac Rinaldo (upper body) skated on his own before practice, but did not accompany his teammates.
