The Patriots have signed receiver Keshawn Martin through the 2017 season with a two-year extension worth $2.975 million.

NFL Players Association records indicate the deal includes a $600,000 signing bonus, base salaries of $850,000 and $1 million, and would mean salary cap hits of $1.275 million and $1.625 million for the Patriots. Martin was set to become a free agent after the season.

The Patriots traded a draft pick to the Texans in exchange for Martin, who is in his fourth NFL season. He played in nine games in 2015 for the Patriots and caught 24 passes for 269 yards and two touchdowns.
