Kenzie Kent, the two-sport athlete who led Boston College to the national semifinals in both hockey and lacrosse, joined Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and Red Sox pitcher Chris Sale as the big winners at the third celebration of the Globies.
Kent took honors for Best Female Athlete and Best College Athlete.
“Thank you so much, I wouldn’t be here without my teammates, coaches, and the support of my family, and of course the Boston sports fans,” said Kent.
Sale won Red Sox MVP and Boston Arrival of the Year. Brady won Patriots MVP and Best Male Athlete.
The Globies, the Boston Globe’s sports awards program, celebrated its award winners Tuesday night at the House of Blues. NESN’s Tom Caron was the master of ceremonies.
MVPs were named for the Celtics, Bruins and Revolution as well.
Isaiah Thomas is no longer in Boston, but fans did not forget him and what he accomplished in leading the Celtics to the Eastern Conference finals last season. Thomas won Celtics MVP.
“Thank you for the love and support. It will always be love with the city of Boston,” said Thomas. “Third Globie award in a row, so you might as well name it after me now. I appreciate everything.”

Brad Marchand won the Globie for Bruins MVP after he led the team in scoring and was a driving force as the Bruins returned to the playoffs after a two-year absence.
“Thank you, I’m very honored to be receiving this award.” said Marchand. “I want to thank all of my teammates, coaching staff, management, and all the fans. I’m very honored.”

Lee Nguyen is also a three-time Globie winner, as he was named Revolution MVP for the third straight year after leading the team in assists and goals.
“I just want to thank you for voting me for this year’s MVP. It’s a tremendous honor,” said Nguyen. “I want to give thanks to The Boston Globe, you obviously know your soccer. To the fans, you all have been amazing all year. Go Revs. Boston Strong. Love you all.”
