Adam Rippon reacted after his performance in the men’s single skating free skating at the 2018 Winter Olympics.

Figure skater Adam Rippon, one of the first two openly gay athletes to qualify for the US Winter Olympics team, has recently made headlines for his outstanding performance during the past week’s team skating competition. It helped the US earn a bronze medal in the Pyeongchang Olympics event.

Rippon has also recently been in the news for a feud of sorts with Vice President Mike Pence that began in January, when the skater was asked how he felt about Pence leading the US Olympic delegation to Pyeongchang.

Amid all of the attention, Rippon took to Twitter Tuesday morning with a message for his critics.

“To all those who tweet at me saying that they ‘hope I fail’, I have failed many times many times in my life,” Rippon wrote. “But more importantly, I’ve learned from every setback, proudly own up to my mistakes, grown from disappointments, and now I’m a glamazon b**** ready for the runway.”
