The Revolution have acquired midfielder Luis Alberto Caicedo Mosquera on loan from the Colombian team Cortulua for the 2018 MLS season with a transfer option for 2019.

“We are pleased to add a young player in Luis who displays significant potential at the midfield position,” Revolution general manager Michael Burns said. “We believe Luis will help strengthen our central midfield and add to the competition at the position.”

Caicedo, 21, joins the Revolution from Corporacion Club Deportivo Tulua, more commonly referred to as Cortulua, of Colombia’s second-tier Categoria Primera B. Caicedo made 70 league appearances from 2015-18, including 67 starts, and scored three goals over more than three seasons in Colombia’s top two tiers of professional soccer.
