It looks like President Trump really is a big fan of Tom Brady.
The New York Times reported Saturday that Trump wished that his daughter Ivanka had married Brady instead of Jared Kushner.
Trump joked that he “could have had Tom Brady. Instead, I got Jared Kushner.”
Brady seemed to be a Trump supporter, even displaying a “Make America Great Again” hat in his locker. And the two have played golf.
But the Patriots quarterback distanced himself from the president, deciding to not go to the White House with the team after their Super Bowl win in 2017.
But that doesn’t mean Trump has cooled toward Brady.

Brady indeed may have been linked to Ivanka Trump, adding fuel to the president’s wishful thinking.
Trump’s ex-wife Ivana, mother of Ivanka, wrote in a book that Trump tried to set up his daughter with Brady. That’s according to the New York Post.
“He said, ‘You have to meet him!’ But Ivanka wasn’t into it,” Ivana wrote in her book, according to the Post.
Still, rumors lingered that Brady and Ivanka Trump did see each other.
Meanwhile, Trump may have had reason to be disappointed with Kushner, who contended with problems in getting a security clearance at the White House.
