Bruins open playoffs Wednesday in Ottawa

The NHL announced its playoff schedule early Monday, and we now know when the Bruins will begin their postseason run.

The Bruins, who finished third in the Atlantic Division, open their best-of-seven series against the Senators on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Canadian Tire Centre. The game will air on NESN and the NHL Network.

The remainder of the series schedule:

■ Game 2: Saturday, 3 p.m., at Ottawa (NBC).

■ Game 3: Monday, April 17, 7 p.m., at TD Garden (CNBC, NESN).

■ Game 4: Wednesday, April 19, 7:30 p.m., at TD Garden (USA, NESN).

■ Game 5 (if necessary): Friday, April 21, TBD, at Ottawa (NESN).

■ Game 6 (if necessary): Sunday, April 23, TBD, at TD Garden (TBD).

■ Game 7 (if necessary): Wednesday, April 26, TBD, at Ottawa (NESN).
