The Boston Celtics donned t-shirts designed to look like the distinctive attire of TNT sideline reporter Craig Sager and recorded a message for him to be aired during NBA broadcasts.
Celtics personnel gathered and said “Sager Strong” for the TNT cameras for a spot to be aired either Tuesday night or during the Celtics’ game against the Bulls on Thursday on TNT.
Sager is battling cancer. The Warriors are also involved in a similar show of support for Sager, and fans attending Golden State’s opener Tuesday will receive t-shirts bearing his likeness.

The shirts the Celtics wore are being sold online and a portion of the proceeds go to the Sager Strong Foundation.
