Free agent forward Gordon Hayward is scheduled to visit the Celtics in Boston on Sunday, according to a league source.
Multiple reports have said Hayward will also visit the Jazz and the Heat in the coming days. For the Celtics, the urgency to sign Hayward has increased after a frenetic Friday night that saw possible free-agent target Blake Griffin agree to re-sign with the Clippers and trade target Paul George get shipped from the Pacers to the Thunder in exchange for Victor Oladipo and Domantas Sabonis.
Hayward, 27, averaged 21.9 points and 5.4 rebounds for the Jazz last season and was named an All-Star for the first time. He played for Celtics coach Brad Stevens when both were at Butler University.
