After losing free agent forward Gordon Hayward to the Boston Celtics, the Utah Jazz seemed to land a retaliatory blow when the team agreed with former Celtic Jonas Jerebko on a two-year, $8.2 million contract. The story was first reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojonarski.
Jerebko was the second free agent forward to commit to the Jazz on Wednesday after Utah also landed Thabo Sefololosha, who agreed to a two-year deal.
Jerebko, 30, leaves Boston where he played the past three seasons. He averaged 3.8 points in 15.8 minutes a game. Jerebko has played seven NBA seasons, including spending the first six NBA seasons with the Detroit Pistons.
