Free agent guard P.J. Dozier agreed to sign a two-way contract with the Celtics, a league source confirmed. As of Friday afternoon, the deal had not been official, but sources said it appeared to be imminent.

Dozier, a 6-foot-6-inch former University of South Carolina standout, had a two-way deal with the Oklahoma City Thunder last season. He played a total of three minutes over two games with the Thunder and spent much of the year with the team’s G-League affiliate, the Oklahoma City Blue, with whom he averaged 12.9 points and 4.6 rebounds.

As a two-way contract player, Dozier will be able to spend up to 45 days with the Celtics next season. When he is not with Boston, he will play for the Maine Red Claws.

The Celtics previously filled their other two-way opening by signing guard Walt Lemon Jr.

Jabari Bird, a two-way player last season, signed an NBA contract with the Celtics last month.
