Clemson and Alabama pretty much had the spotlight of the sports universe to themselves Monday night as they battled it out for the college football national championship. That is, until Bill Walton showed up on ESPNU as part of ESPN’s Megacast.
The ESPN college basketball analyst showed up dressed as Uncle Sam, and quickly showed that he had done very little preparation for talking about either one of the teams.

During a commercial break however, the conversation turned to a subject that Walton is familiar with. The big red head dropped some knowledge as the broadcast returned from a break.
“Marijuana should not be a schedule 1 drug,” Walton is saying while a seemingly irritated Jay Bilas appears to be trying to find his happy place. “All of the people who have been in trouble for it for all these years, Obama just blanket amnestied. Just move on to the future.”

He also invited Michelle Beadle up to his room when she explained that she was drinking tea because she was trying to be healthy.

As for the game? Clemson prevailed, 35-31, although it’s still not known if Walton is aware.
