Michaela Boyle, Reading, senior
Boyle’s impact on the ice was immediate for the Rockets. The senior forward scored a state-high 48 goals to help power Reading to a Division 1 state semifinal appearance, while also breaking Reading’s single-season record.
Kendra Currier, Austin Prep, junior
One of the top defenders in the state, Currier was named the Catholic Central League MVP. A junior, she scored two goals and added 17 assists to lead the Cougars to the CCL title and a Division 1 quarterfinal appearance.
Brianna Jewett, Woburn, senior
The defenseman goes out a Division 1 state champion, wrapping up her high school career with a 24-point season and the Middlesex League title. She will continue her hockey career at the University of New England.
Colleen Kelleher, Canton, junior
The brick-wall goalie helped guide the Bulldogs to the Division 2 state final. In 60 career games, she allowed 66 goals, a 1.10 goals against average. The two-year captain had a career .945 save percentage and 18 shutouts.
Katie Pyne, Notre Dame (Hingham), freshman
Pyne’s hockey sense and offensive skill helped power the Cougars to their second straight Division 2 title. With 40 goals on the season, she showed a knack for clutch goals. She scored 11 times in the playoffs, three in the state final.
Izzy Sarra, Masconomet, senior
Sarra had 32 points for the Masconomet co-op program. She netted five goals in the postseason as the Chieftains marched to the Division 1 semifinal. Her 91 career points are second in program history.
Gracie Bruno, Needham, sophomore
The sophomore tallied 24 goals and 38 assists this season and already has 109 career points. Bruno was a key part for a Needham team that won the Bay State title and went unbeaten before reaching the Division 1 title game.
Colleen Ellis, Westford, senior
Described as a ‘‘workhorse’’ by her coaches, Ellis is a force on the ice no matter the situation. Twice an All-Conference player in the MVC/DCL, Ellis finishes her career with 26 goals and 43 assists for 69 points in just three seasons.
Kelly Golini, Methuen, junior
Golini tallied 45 goals and 27 assists to lead Methuen/Tewksbury to the Division 2 semifinals. The junior has 198 career points and is a part of the US National program. Golini wants to play college hockey after graduating.
Katlyn Hathaway, Pembroke, senior
Hathaway led Pembroke to an undefeated regular season with a 0.95 GAA and .945 save percentage. The senior goalie was an SEMGHL All-Star and finishes her career with a 40-10-6 record. She is slated to play at Castleton.
Elizabeth Hernberg, Needham, senior
Hernberg finished her career by leading Needham to an undefeated regular season and the Division 1 state title game. A co-MVP of the Bay State League, she scored 45 goals with 25 assists and finished with 100 career points.
Gretchen Howard, Winthrop, senior
A four-time NEC All-Star, the senior goalie has been a major factor in the success of the Winthrop/Lynn/Saugus co-op. This season was no exception, with a .934 save percentage and a 1.83 GAA. She will play at Salve Regina.
Elena Kapolis, Milton, senior
Kapolis wraps up her career as a two-time All-Scholastic with 93 goals, 93 assists, and three Bay State All-Star honors. The league MVP had 36 goals and 34 assists this season to finish in the top 10 in state scoring.
McKinley Karpa, Ipswich, senior
A two-time All-Scholastic, Karpa had 35 goals and 38 assists this season as Beverly/Danvers/Ipswich won the NEC title. She finishes a stellar career as a three-time league all-star with 84 goals and 72 assists for 156 points.
Kat Keith, Westwood, sophomore
Twice an SEMGHL All-Star, Keith had 24 goals and 26 assists this season to help Westwood reach the Division 2 state semifinals. While Keith was among the state’s scoring leaders, her defensive game was outstanding as well.
Mel McAleer, Whitman-Hanson, senior
With 114 goals and 184 career points, the senior has been a cornerstone for the Whitman-Hanson/Silver Lake co-op. McAleer had 30 goals and 22 assists this season, helping the Panthers win the SEMGHL Northeast title.
Madison Micciche, Winchester, junior
A Middlesex League All-Star, the junior wing scored 18 goals and added 25 assists for the Sachems. When their starting goalie was injured, she played in net for five games, making 80 saves and allowing just eight goals.
Erin Murray, Notre Dame (Hingham), freshman
The freshman was a major part of the Cougars’ Division 1 title run, posting a .950 save percentage and seven shutouts. Murray made key saves as the Cougars completed an unbeaten season with only 22 goals against.
Izzy Primack, Ipswich, junior
Primack, with her Ipswich schoolmate McKinley Karpa, has been a driving force for the Beverly/Danvers/Ipswich co-op team. Primack finishes her career with 63 goals and 67 assists for 130 points as her team won the NEC title.
Georgiana Santullo, Woburn, junior
The junior center helped lead the Tanners to a Division 1 state title with 38 goals and 27 assists. A Middlesex All-Star, she has accumulated 72 goals in just three seasons. Also a lacrosse player, Santullo hopes to play college hockey.
Rachel Tassinari, Boston Latin, senior
With 24 goals and 11 assists, Tassinari helped the Wolfpack finish with an 18-3-3 record and reach the Division 1 quarterfinals. The senior captain finished her career with 90 total points and two MVC/DCL All-Star awards.
Ciara Wall, Matignon, sophomore
The Stoneham resident produced 30 goals and 36 assists for the 18-4 Warriors to eclipse 100 career points in her sophomore season. Wall raised her two-year total to 68 goals and 75 assists. She also plays lacrosse and soccer.
Coaches of the Year
Division 1: Bob MacCurtain, Woburn
MacCurtain coached the Tanners to a Division 1 state championship, a Middlesex League title, and a 21-2-2 record this season. The 17-year Woburn coach has a 288-73-28 career record that includes four state titles.
Division 2: Dennis Aldrich, Canton
Aldrich led the Bulldogs to a 14-5-6 record and an appearance in the Division 2 state final this season. A 1979 Canton High School graduate and the girls’ coach for five years, his career record is 54-38-13.
