■ Andover (22-2) — All-Scholastic posts Alyssa Casey and Jillian Webber graduated off last year’s 22-2 squad that won the D1 North title. And former boys’ assistant Alan Hibino steps in on the bench for E.J. Perry, now coaching the Triton boys.
■ Archbishop Williams (23-3) — Asiah Dingle and her Bishop teammates take aim at back-to-back Division 3 crowns. Junior forward Monica Spain will be a factor too.
■ Belmont (17-5) — Seniors Jenny Call, Carly Christofori
■ Bishop Feehan (18-3) — Seniors Brie Gillen, Anna Shaughnessy and Riley Lahiff are a fantastic trio for the Shamrocks.
■ Braintree (21-5) — The Wamps come off a Division 1 South championship and return a dynamic duo in seniors Jenna Roche and Rachel Tutkus.
■ Cathedral (17-7) — Sophomore Mackenzie Delaba emerged last year. Adding in senior Taliyah Countrymon and junior Dejah Jenkins, there could be a Division 4 title repeat.
■ Fontbonne Academy (18-5) — The Ducks will followthe lead of senior Annabelle Larnard in the D3 South tourney. Classmate Arienne Sauvignon Howard and sophomore Clarissa Garzon also return.
■ Mansfield (20-4) — Seniors Anne Maher and Meg Hill make up a strong inside-outside combination for the Hornets.
■ Medfield (25-2) — The defending Division 2 state champions return Harvard-bound seninor Maggie McCarthy.
■ Newton South (18-5) — Senior guard Veronica Burton is one of the state’s best players and should lead the Lions deep in the Division 1 tournament.
■ Westford Academy(20-3) — Angela Alibrandi, the Globe’s 2016-17 Female Athlete of the year, is now suiting up for unbeaten Tufts. But after last year’s run through the D1 Central tourney to the state semifinal, Russ Coward’s squad is tourney tested.Greg Levinsky can be reached at email@example.com.
