BC High senior righthander Mike Vasil, who is a projected to be a first-round pick in June’s Major League Baseball Draft, left his start last Monday with an arm injury.
On Saturday, Vasil said there is no ligament damage or tear in his elbow. After seeing a doctor, it was confirmed as muscle fatigue.
“We came to realize it was just some muscle fatigue and tightness,” Vasil said. “Inability to get into a routine in the seven-day cycle put it out of whack.”
“Nothing too major. We’re doing all the precaution. I’ll see [physical therapist] Monday, just get it checked out, get it cleared, and hope to be back soon.”
