Saturday’s nonleague football game beween Boston Latin and Nantucket at West Roxbury High School (2:30 p.m.) will have a special visitor – the NBC Sunday Night Football bus.
As part of SportsEngine’s “Comin’ Home Sweepstakes,” an initiative to support youth sports participation, the winning team members along with members of the student body, administration, and staff will have the opportunity to tour the bus before and after the game.
“Boston Latin is extremely grateful to have the Sunday Night Football bus, NBC Sports, and SportsEngine at our game,” said BLS Athletic Director Jack Owens.
“The BLS athletic department is always looking for unique ways to engage the community at sporting events and this will definitely achieve that goal. As the first public school in the United States, it is difficult to make history but this is certainly the first time in school history that our students have been able to experience something like this.”

The game against Nantucket will mark the first time Boston Latin has competed against the Whalers in any sport.
In addition to the bus, NBC Sports Boston and NBC10 Boston will be in attendance to cover the game providing giveaways, including a pair of tickets to Sunday night’s game between the Patriots and Kansas City Chiefs.
