EMass boys’ hockey: Hanover’s Manning Morris headlines Players of the Week

Robbie Farrell, Austin Prep — The MVP of the Christie Serino Christmas Classic, the senior goalie blanked both St. Mary’s of Lynn (2-0) and Hingham (4-0) in Malden.

Brian Gazzard, Ashland — The senior forward earned MVP honors at the East Boston Deep Freeze with a 5-goal, 2-assist line. He scored four goals against Dedham and tallied another in the final against O’Bryant.

Thomas Kramer, BC High — At the Pete Frates Classic, the senior captain produced five points (2 goals, 3 assists) in wins against St. John’s Prep and Pope Francis to earn MVP honors.

Kirk Leach, Foxborough — Cape Cod was kind to the sophomore forward, who tallied five goals and three assists at the John Paul II Tournament in Hyannis. He was named to the all-tourney team after the Warriors emerged with the title, defeating Cohasset and Sacred Heart


Manning Morris, Hanover — The sophomore forward racked up eight total points (4 goals, 4 assists) in back-to-back games. He registered three goals and two assists in a 6-4 win over Oliver Ames to clinch the Unkie Fitzgerald Christmas Tournament title. He added another goal and two helpers in Wednesday’s 5-2 victory over Plymouth North.
