EMass girls’ hockey: Framingham’s Georgia Parker headlines Players of the Week

Ellen Linso, Boston Latin — In a scoreless tie with second-ranked Methuen/Tewksbury, the junior stood tall, turning aside all 35 Red Rangers shots, including 15 saves in the third period. She followed that up with 12 saves in two periods of a 7-1 win over Latin Academy on Monday.

Sierra Majewski, Bishop Stang — The senior goalie made 31 saves in a 4-2 win over Scituate followed by a 40-save performance in a 6-2 victory over St. Peter-Marian.

Ava McGaffigan, Dennis-Yarmouth — With 8 points last week, the freshman led the Dolphins to three victories, including both goals in a 2-1 thriller over No. 20 Pembroke. She had a 4-point game in Monday’s 5-1 win over Cape Cod.


Alyssa Murphy, Whitman-Hanson/Silver Lake — The junior captain had 5 goals and 4 assists in the Panthers’ first win of the season, 15-8 over Quincy.

Georgia Parker, Framingham — The Flyers’ alternate captain had a 10-point week, including two goals and three assists in Monday’s win over Auburn. The junior had two goals and a helper in a 6-3 loss to Brookline and two more assists in a 3-0 win over Weymouth.
