Top performances from EMass baseball players in the past week:

D.J. Brown, Braintree — Brown went 3 for 4 with two doubles and four RBIs in the Wamps season-opening 7-0 victory over Brookline last week.

Colton Colleran, Mashpee — Colleran had two hits and three RBIs in his first varsity start that ended with a 18-4 victory over Hull. The eighth-grader topped that in his first start as a pitcher, giving up three hits and striking out five over four innings of work in a 17-1 win over Nantucket.

Matt Donato, Walpole — The senior tossed seven scoreless innings, striking out nine in the process and delivered the walk-off single in the eighth-inning to lead the Rebels over Bay State rival Newton North, 1-0.


Cam Munchback, Weymouth — Munchback was able to out-duel Walpole senior Cam Schlittler on Wednesday as he pitched a one-hit shutout, recording seven strikeouts while allowing only one hit in a 2-0 victory.

Todd Tringale, Saugus — The Sachems righthanded senior spun a complete-game gem on Wednesday. The UMass-commit allowed just two hits and stuck out 17 Stoneham hitters in his team’s 1-0 win.
