ATTENDANCE, PLEASE: RB Dion Lewis, WR Danny Amendola, TE Bryce Williams, G Jonathan Cooper, and T Sebastian Vollmer were not spotted at practice.

WR Julian Edelman and TE Clay Harbor came off the PUP list and were in full pads.

G Tre’ Jackson was in pads but did not participate after stretching.

C Bryan Stork, RBs Donald Brown and D.J. Foster, LB Jonathan Freeny, WR Keshawn Martin, and Jackson did work on the lower fields.

NEW INJURIES: None.

DRESS CODE: Full pads.

THREE UP

■  Julian Edelman: The dynamo slot receiver donned full pads for the first time and looked as crisp as ever participating in drills and running routes off to the side with Tom Brady.

■  Tyler Gaffney: The hardest worker of the day, Gaffney took nearly 20 handoffs from Blue team QBs Brady and Jacoby Brissett as the Patriots concentrated on the running game in the scrimmage.

■  Markus Kuhn: Another solid day of work from the first-year Patriot defensive lineman. He gained consistent penetration in the middle and would have definitely got his hands on the QB a few times if rules allowed.

THREE DOWN

■  Cyrus Jones: The rookie has been excelling on returns, but bobbled a kickoff and then accidentally kicked it out of bounds after it hit the ground.

■  Stephen Gostkowski: He doesn’t miss many, but he hooked a field goal at the conclusion of possession No. 7.

■  James Develin: The fullback was whistled for a false start for the only penalty (unofficially speaking) of the day during a late series.

TOP PLAYS

■  Jimmy Garoppolo hit Martellus Bennett with a TD pass in the back left corner of the end zone with Devin McCourty in coverage. Bennett emphatically slammed the ball (Gronkesque, you might say) after the 6.

■  Bennett also made a nice finger tip grab of a Garoppolo zip despite exceptionally tight coverage from Kamu Grugier-Hill. The rookie linebacker gained a bit of revenge when he broke up a Garoppolo pass intended for Bennett.

■  S Jordan Richards slipped through the line and met RB James White in the backfield for a loss.

■  LB Jamie Collins batted down a Garoppolo pass for what seemed like the ninth straight practice (but we’re clearly exaggerating).

■  Ryan Allen, who earlier had a couple of shanks, dropped a beauty of a punt at the 1-yard line, prompting a big fist pump.

■  Cedric Thompson picked off a Tom Brady pass that was intended for tight end A.J. Derby.

■  Shea McClellin, Rob Ninkovich, Markus Kuhn, and Jabaal Sheard were all getting into the backfield consistently.

■  Brady hit DeAndre Carter with a buzzer-beating TD and the QB celebrated by shouting “Good job boys!” and simultaneously low-fiving Carter and Derby.

■  Brady closed the scrimmage with a 2-point conversion toss to Derby to give the Blue team an 11-10 win.

ODDS AND ENDS

■  Owner Robert Kraft took in the entire scrimmage from the sideline.

■  Tom Brady scrambled around on a bootleg look and spiked the ball with authority after thinking he reached the first-down marker. He didn’t and was accidentally knocked down by Cedric Thompson as he celebrated.

■  Rookie QB Jacoby Brissett, strictly a spectator in Friday’s scrimmage, got one series in relief of Brady and went 1 for 2.

■  Things got a little heated between receiver Malcolm Mitchell and Cyrus Jones as the rookies did a little post-whistle jousting on one running play.

■  Alan Branch showed off some sweet dance moves when the stadium DJ blared “Mo Money Mo Problems.”

■  Brady was again one of the last to leave the field and he did some resistance-band running well after practice.

■  Martellus Bennett’s daughter did some work with her dad and a tackling dummy at the end of practice. A fun time was had by all.
