Tom Brady himself confirmed he was at Gillette Stadium Monday during his weekly chat with Jim Gray on Westwood One’s “Monday Night Football” pregame show.
“It was great to be back in the building, it was certainly great to be back to work. It’s been a long four weeks for me but I’m excited to get started on my preparation for Cleveland and I’m anxious to get back on the practice field,’’ said Brady. “My teammates have been working their butts off and that’s what they expect of me.’’
When Gray asked if Brady would be the starter against the Browns, the quarterback laughed.
“Those decisions aren’t up to me . . . you know that,’’ he said. “I always prepare as if I’m going to play.’’
Brady made it clear he wasn’t interested in revisiting Deflategate now that his suspension is over.
“I’m not really looking to reflect [on that]. I put that in my rearview mirror a long time ago,’’ he said. “I’m just focused on the present. Focused on this week.”
