It is the fifth time this season that a Patriots player has earned an NFL honor. Both kicker Stephen Gostkowski and punter Ryan Allen have been named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week in September.
Running back LeGarrette Blount was named AFC Offensive Player of the Month for September, and quarterback Tom Brady was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week in his first game back from his suspension on Oct. 9.
