FOXBOROUGH — The Patriots did receive some good news on the injury front Wednesday when defensive end Trey Flowers and safety Patrick Chung returned to practice in a limited capacity. Both missed Sunday’s loss after suffering concussions against the Jaguars in Week 2.

“It was good to get out there,’’ Flowers said. “It’s always tough as a football player when you’re unable to play.’’

Asked if he expects to return for Sunday’s game, Flowers said, “Yeah, I mean, I expect to work and be able to play. Whatever happens, happens.’’

Also listed as limited on Wednesday were wide receiver Josh Gordon (hamstring); tight end Jacob Hollister (chest); right tackle Marcus Cannon (calf); cornerbacks Eric Rowe (groin) and Keion Crossen (hamstring); safety Nate Ebner (hip); and defensive linemen Danny Shelton (elbow) and Geneo Grissom (ankle).
