The Red Sox clinched the AL East division title thanks to Toronto’s 3-2 loss to Baltimore Wednesday.

The Red Sox, who end the regular season Sunday at home vs. the Blue Jays, will begin the postseason in a Division Series game on Thursday, Oct. 6. They will be making their first trip to the playoffs since they won the World Series in 2013.

The Texas Rangers, Los Angeles Dodgers, Cleveland Indians, and Washington Nationals have already clinched division titles. The Chicago Cubs have clinched the NL Central and home field throughout the National League playoffs.

The Red Sox entered Wednesday night’s game a half-game behind Texas for the best record in the American League and one game ahead of Cleveland.
