Betts, Ortiz, and Bogaerts win Silver Sluggers

Red Sox right fielder Mookie Betts continued his offseason tear as he was one of three Red Sox named as a Silver Slugger Award winner in the American League on Thursday.

Betts, who is a finalist for the AL MVP and won a Gold Glove earlier this week, was joined by shortstop Xander Bogaerts and designated hitter David Ortiz as Silver Sluggers.

Catcher — Salvador Perez, Kansas City.

First base — Miguel Cabrera, Detroit; Second base — Jose Altuve, Houston; Third base — Josh Donaldson, Toronto.

Shortstop — Xander Bogaerts, Boston.

Outfield — Mookie Betts, Boston; Mike Trout, Los Angeles; Mark Trumbo, Baltimore.
