Red Sox left fielder Andrew Benintendi’s agent, Jason Wood, was fired by Career Sports Entertainment Talent Agency and suspended by the Major League Baseball Players Association amid allegations that Wood secretly videotaped clients taking showers at his home.
A client confronted Wood after he spotted a hidden camera, according to FanRag Sports, which cited seven sources in its report.
“For over 32 years, CSE Talent has prided itself on our moral and ethical standards and have built a solid reputation within the industry,” CSE president Danny Martoe wrote in a statement. “We take pride in working with people who represent these values. It’s unfortunate that CSE Talent aligned itself with someone who didn’t uphold these same standards and therefore we chose to terminate with cause Wood’s employment.”

Wood had more than 50 clients and had sold his company, Arland Sports, which he founded in 2006, to Martoe last year.
Benintendi could not be reached for comment. It was not known if Benintendi plans on staying with the agency. He was still listed with the agency on the MLBPA website.
